Our second Tahitian port was Moorea. Again, looking around the ship we see a beautiful island.

On our way in we spotted two native islanders in their canoes. Regardless of the island, we were always greeted by people in their traditional dress. Just amazing.

Most of the excursions here required either a lot of walking or more strenuous than we wanted, so we did not take an excursion. Instead, we just went to the dock area. This port required us to tender from the ship as the port itself was not deep enough for the ship. Most of the water around the island was very shallow.

The town was miles away from the dock, but many vendors came and set up their tents and sold their wares from tents at the dock. This area is known for black pearls and we made some good purchases.

On our way back to the ship, we saw this 4 star hotel. Notice the rooms are all on stilts over the water. These hotels are everywhere on the different islands.

This ends our second Tahitian Island.

I must be off!
