Malaga, Spain

We made it to Malaga, Spain today. As many of the excursions were sold out, we decided to just stroll through the town with our friends from Texas, Susan and Ed.
We had met Susan when we were on the Magic for our 47 day cruise and became quick friends. As Susan and Mary will say, they are sisters from different states.

As we got off the shuttle into town, we were met with the lighthouse, as well as beautiful architecture
everywhere we could see.

As always, I found a mailbox almost immediately. I have a thing about taking pictures of mailboxes around the world.

Also, Spain still has a number of phone booths to use. Try and find one in the U.S.

As we walk the streets, we find they are almost all marble. Just amazing.

I thought this shot of the cathedral to be amazing. While it is extremely high, because of the narrow, twisting streets and the tall buildings, you only get a glimpse of it every so often.

I courtyard for a suite of offices. I just had to sneak in and take a picture,

Like most large cities, there are always people trying to make a dollar, or in this case a euro. The man is real, but the dog is not. A very ingenious outfit.

Saw this sign on a side street. Notice the graffiti as it is the only place we saw any. Not sure if the poster is the reason for the graffiti. It is tough to see, but the picture is of the flag raising at Imo Jima. However, instead of a flag they put a flower at the end of the pole with the words "Give Peace a Chance." Political statement, probably.

All of a sudden we start hearing beautiful violin music. This violin player was good and just trying to make an euro. Notice the marble street.

Once again, back to the Carnival Horizon. While we did not see all there is to see in Malaga, we enjoyed our time with our friends as we leisurely strolled through the streets. It is a beautiful town.

Tomorrow, Gibraltar. I have always wanted to see Gibraltar and I get my chance tomorrow.

I must be off!
