We left the Columbus airport on time and made it to Chicago O'Hare Airport for our international flight to London. I had figured a layover of just under three hours, but forgot about the time difference. We had plenty of time to have dinner before the plane left.
Next thing we know, they are announcing that due to some mechanical problems we will not be boarding the plane on time. After about a half hour, we are boarding and leave as soon as we can.
It wasn't the smoothest flight, but we did have a few pot holes we hit. As we near Heathrow, we are told it has major fog and there will be a delay in landing. We circle a little over a half hour and finally make it in. It was obviously an instrument landing because I couldn't see the ground until we landed under the fog.
We made it to the hotel and had a great 3 hour nap. We are now heading to the Drury Lane Theatre Royal to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Looking forward to it.
