Thanksgiving Cruise

Rexie and I are cruising again. This time, we are taking a 6 day Caribbean Cruise from Ft. Lauderdale on the Carnival Freedom.

This is a back-to-back. Last week, we had an 8 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise and this week my son, daughter-in-law, and two grand kids are joining us.

My granddaughter brought along her American Girl Doll which she has named Ivy. After a quick trip to Guest Services, Ivy got her own card for the cruise, which does work (door only - no charging privileges). Of course it is blue because it is Ivy's first cruise. Wonder if Carnival will give her a red card the next time she cruises?

What a hoot this is.

We are off again!

Rexie and I flew into New York yesterday. We finally made it after being delayed in Detroit for 30 minutes.  We boarded are plane and as we were getting ready to take off we were told we had been put on a 60 minute hold before we could take off. So,  we sat on the taxiway and waited.

Once we landed in Newark,  we could not find the driver and car. After two phone calls we were given directions to the vehicle.

We had done this so we could have a few minutes in our hotel room as we had a play to see at 7pm. We got to our room at6:10 and made it to the play with a few minutes to spare.

We saw A Gentleman'a Guide to Love and Marriage.  A funny play and highly recommended.

Anyway,  we are on the Splendor and set sail today with the final port of San Juan. I swore I would never sail the Splendor again.  Amazing how a cheap price will have one eating their own words.

Speaking of eating,  we are sitting on the Lido and I just saw a middle-aged gentleman eating an ice cream cone. The amazing thing is that he had to take a picture of it before eating it. First-time cruisers. Go figure.

NTN Trivia

Rexie and I have not been cruising much since I received some serious health information. However, we have been playing trivia which is how we got our nicknames.

May 2014 was a great month for us as Rexie got a perfect score of 7,000 and a first in the nation during lunch time trivia on May 1, 2014. This consisted of seven questions on a variety of subjects..

Not to be outdone, I got a perfect score on May 5, 2014.

We have been playing NTN buzztime trivia at Buffalo Wild Wings every Monday during lunch and sometimes on the weekends with the family.

What a great gift.
